Employees on parental leave

Some benefits are linked to actual employment in the company. The employment relationship remains in place during parental leave, but employees can pause their employment or work part-time.

If employment is paused completely during parental leave, we recommend pausing the become.1 benefits via the become.1 dashboard from the start to the end of parental leave.

If you wish to continue to provide employees with become.1 benefits during parental leave, we recommend that you consult your tax advisor beforehand, as benefits may be linked to employment in the company.

If employment is reduced to part-time during parental leave, employers can use the become.1 dashboard to make a congruent adjustment to the amount of become.1 benefits if desired.
